Carlos CP-1A VIP

In less then 10 years Germany-based guitarist and guitar-technician Carlos Juan has engineered the development of a little boutique brand into an international cult object. Considered as the "Best Kept Secret in Guitar World" Carlos Pickups are used by more A-list guitarists then of any other acoustic pickups manufacturer. All Carlos pickups feature a tubular undersaddle transducer and diff. preamps powered by a single 9V battery.

Launched in 1999 this unique pickup is the first ever to use two miniature middle- and gain-pots on the endpin-preamp PCB for a personal tone adjustement. Despite the recent addition of the soundhole-mounted volume control this pickup was winner of the acoustic pickups shootout in Vintage Guitar Magazine Nov. 2007: "The pickup sounds better then most, regardless of style.
